Learn to Play Hockey
Saturdays, May 22 – October 2* | 4:15-5:15 p.m. | Ages 4-10 | $5
USA Hockey encourages a non-competitive environment in which children can learn the basic skills of hockey without distractions that are often associated with an over emphasis on winning. Mastery of the fundamental skills and the FUN of playing are essential to the development of lifelong interest in hockey. Please arrive 30 minutes early to get fitted for your equipment. (Free equipment is available to use.) *Some sessions may be cancelled due to special events.

Peewee Skills Drop In Sessions (Flyer)
Join us on Tuesdays, June 1-July 27 from 7:45-8:45 p.m. for Peewee Skills Drop In Sessions. Cost is $10 per session. This session will focus on advanced skills such as edgework, power skating, shooting mechanics, and stick handling. This session is open to both skaters and goalies for instruction based skill development.

Bantam & High School Drop In Skills Sessions (Flyer)

Columbus Hockey Camp (Flyer)
Hockey players ages 6-12 can join us July 5-9 from 1-5 p.m. for our Columbus Hockey Camp coached by Miami University’s Mike Norton! Experienced Mites, Squirts, and Peewees are welcome! We accept 36 skaters and 4 goalies. Cost is $250 per player. Please call Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena to register.

Bantam/High School Hockey Camp (Flyer)
July 12 – 16 | $300
Hosted by Coach Jack Manard, Head Coach and Hockey Director of Team Indiana and Head Coach for Indiana University Hockey. This program is designed for players to have fun while developing their skills in preparation for tryouts. Players will compete in a variety of scrimmage and game situations…not your typical tedious drills.

Join us for Paint and Skate on July 14! Ages 6-12 will paint a canvas from 9-10 a.m. Skating will be 10-10:45 a.m. Only 12 painters allowed.

Christmas in July (Flyer)
In lieu of the pandemic, we at Hamilton Community Center & Ice Arena want to bring back some Christmas spirit that was missed out on in 2020. Join us on July 16 from 7-9 p.m. for a Christmas themed celebration! We will have fun Christmas themed activities and skating. Stay tuned for more information!

Back to School Skate (Flyer)
Come to Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena on July 30 from 1-3 p.m. for our Back to School Skate! Send Summer off right with an afternoon of free skating. Donations will be accepted for the Bartholomew County School Supply Assistance Program. This event is free and open to the public. Scooter rental | $2 We hope to see you there!

Robby Glantz Hockey Camp (Flyer)
Robby Glantz hockey camp focuses on technique speed training, acceleration, and explosive starts! Training will include bungie cords and more! Come train with a skating coach of the NHL stars! Ice time is 6-7:45 p.m. on Monday, August 2nd and 9-10:15 a.m. on Tuesday August 3rd. This camp is limited to 40 participants. This camp is limited to travel hockey players only. Come out to Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena on September 18 from 2-4 p.m. for our FREE Skating Extravaganza! Try Hockey, Skating, and Speed Skating! Join us for a free afternoon of free instruction and skate rental.

Skate and Scare (Flyer)

Join us on October 22 from 7-9 p.m. for a s’boo’tacular time at this year’s Skate and Scare! Join us for public skating on the large ice, a haunted maze on the small ice, and of course candy!

Try Hockey for Free (Flyer)
One Saturday per year and in partnership with USA Hockey and 400 other local associations across the country, we will host Try Hockey for Free! We encourage you to bring your kids ages 4-9 to come out and try youth hockey as part of the Hockey Weekend Across America celebration. Free equipment is available for use. Turkey Trot (Flyer) Virtual Event!
The Turkey Trot has had to change the way it has to be run this year, but the purpose of the run hasn’t:
To get out, be healthy and have fun with your family!
Along with running or walking a 5K, you can participate in activities with your family either in person or virtually. All participants will be put in a drawing for prizes, and the family with the most points from completing activities will win a prize.
This activity is free but donations to the Chuck Wilt Youth Scholarship Fund will be greatly appreciated. Your donation will allow children, who otherwise could not participate, to sign up for Parks and Recreation activities.

3 on 3 Hockey Tournament (Flyer)
Join us for our 3 on 3 Hockey Tournament! Cost is $20 per individual and $60 per adult team. Hamilton Community Center & Ice Arena invites you, your teammates, and your families to enjoy the experience at this years 3 on 3 pond less hockey tournament. Skate with Santa (Flyer)
Join us on November 30 from 12-4 p.m. for Skate with Santa! Cost is $7.50 including skate rental. Come out for a Jolly Good Time! Skate with Santa, make crafts and reindeer food, and have loads of fun!

Learn to Compete (Flyer)
This class is open to Basic Skills levels 1-6 and Novice skaters who are interested in being introduced to figure skating competitions. Participants will receive a choreographed Basic Elements program based on their skill level that will prepare them to compete at the Columbus Invitational competition on January 19th.

Whoville Skate (Flyer)

Fiesta Friday (Flyer)
