Come Out and Play Sponsorship *
This program provides a free supervised summer recreation program/summer camp experience for the children of Columbus. During the summer, Monday – Friday children are invited for a summer of fieldtrips, recreational games, sports, crafts, etc. at Donner Park! Camp is ran and monitored by our staff of summer camp counselors out of Donner Shelter! Children are transported from local parks around the community or may be dropped off directly at Donner. Every day, a free lunch is provided by BCSC. We have several giveaways throughout the summer to reward kids for great behavior and to celebrate summer. This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to partner with the Columbus Parks Department to promote outdoor education, youth play and help provide a quality summer camp experience free of charge to our community. Please contact Jacob Hendricks, jhendricks@columbus.in.gov for more info on how to become a sponsor for the Come Out & Play Playground Program!
Disc Golf Hole Sponsorship *
With the addition of a free disc golf course available to the public at Donner Park, you and your business have the opportunity for additional exposure as well as being on the front end of a rapidly growing sport in the community! Columbus Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Columbus Indiana Disc Golf Club and are continuing to expand our program offerings and amenities in the ever-growing recreational activity of disc golf. Please contact Jacob Hendricks, jhendricks@columbus.in.gov for more info on how to become a sponsor for disc golf!
Great Columbus Campout *
We invite you to be a sponsor for our annual family campout event, The Great Columbus Campout! If you are a local business who believes in promoting family togetherness, nature and the importance of taking some time to “unplug” then you will not want to miss the chance to partner with us as a sponsor! Please contact Jacob Hendricks, jhendricks@columbus.in.gov for more info on how to become a sponsor for the next Great Columbus Campout!
Greenbelt and Rocky Ford Par 3 Sponsorship
Are you a local business looking to garner additional exposure? Are you a golfer who is looking to give back to either (or both) of our beautiful courses? Do you simply see the value in keeping affordable golf available, at a quality course, for the members of our community? If any of these or many other reasons appeal to you, we invite you to download a copy of our golf sponsor packet and/or contact Keith VanDeventer, kvandeventer@columbus.in.gov for questions or interest!
Kroger Community Rewards Program
Do you already shop at Kroger? If so, you may as well help our Columbus Youth House Hockey League by contributing to the cost of equipment through the rewards program! Power of Produce at Columbus Farmer’s Market *
If your business has a passion for family health, wellness, and nutrition, then the Power of Produce program (POP) at our Columbus Farmer’s Market could be a great opportunity not only to connect your brand with families with children in Columbus but to help provide crucial funds to a program with a specific mission of involving children into the sourcing and preparation of healthy and fresh local produce. At our Saturday markets, May – September families may participate for FREE in the POP program. POP participants are given a market passport and at every market they attend for the course of the season, they may check in at the Parks and Recreation booth at the market to receive fun food prep and info cards as well as $2 vouchers to spend on ANY produce item at the market. That is any fruit or vegetable or any plant that produces fruits or vegetables. This is an excellent program to get children excited for fresh, local and healthy foods, and is a natural partnership for any local business looking to help promote wellness in families in the Columbus community. If you would like to support the Power of Produce, please contact Celeste Reynolds at creynolds@columbus.in.gov or (812) 375-2759.
Tour de Trails Event Sponsorship *
Every year the Columbus Park Foundation hosts our Tour de Trails events to raise money to help maintain our over 22 miles of People Trail Network for our Community to be safe and active. The Columbus Park Foundation has been hosting the Run/Walk for 22 years and Bicycle Challenge for 18 years, and last year we had over 200 participants for both the Run/Walk and Bicycle Challenge. Please consider sponsoring our Tour de Trails events. A gift at any of our levels will make our event even more successful! Our Tour de Trails events brings participants from throughout the community, state, and country. As a sponsor for the Tour de Trails, we would share your information to all the participants along with everyone who visits our social media and website. If you would like to support our event or discuss our plans, please contact Celeste Reynolds at creynolds@columbus.in.gov or (812) 375-2759.
Youth Baseball Team Sponsorship
This program provides an opportunity for children, regardless of their ability, to learn the rules of baseball, understand the concepts of effort, teamwork and leadership in a positive atmosphere. Our program also promotes simply having fun! It is organized and operated by the governing baseball board of community volunteers who work with our department staff. However, this program is not possible without the support we receive from our community. For only $400 you will be providing an experience for young children that will last a lifetime. Additionally, your sponsorship gives your business the opportunity to have your company’s name and logo appear on your team’s uniform as well as your company’s name/logo on a banner at our baseball facility for the season. You will also be recognized in our media outlets. Columbus Parks and Recreation supervises ordering and purchasing of uniforms for all the children in the league. For more information on how to sponsor a team for an upcoming season, please contact Brady Buckley, bbuckley@columbus.in.gov.
* All sponsorships for these programs/events are tax-deductible.
