The Columbus Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce Martavius Mims as the new NexusPark Fieldhouse Sports Manager! With a strong background in sports management, holding both a B.S. and M.S. from Western Kentucky University, Martavius is ready to elevate our fieldhouse operations to new heights.
Currently based in Round Rock, Texas, he has been successfully managing an impressive 82,800-square-foot Sports Complex alongside a 60-acre multipurpose outdoor complex. Martavius has orchestrated high-profile events, including NFL camps featuring stars such as CeeDee Lamb from the Dallas Cowboys, Bijan Robinson from the Atlanta Falcons, and Justin Jefferson from the Minnesota Vikings. In addition, Martavius has expertly managed sports tourism initiatives and his experience on the field as a college football Safety at Western Kentucky adds an invaluable dimension to his role.
Martavius is eager to bring his expertise and vibrant energy to Columbus, where he aims to create engaging and dynamic programs at Circle K Fieldhouse. He will be relocating with his wife and their 5-month-old son in early December, with his official start date set for December 16.
