JAPANESE TAIKO DRUMMING – Children’s Class (Begins)

Discover the art of Japanese Taiko drumming, which has been played in Japan for over 2000 years. The word taiko means big drum, and the art form incorporates large drums, body movement, vocalization, and various instruments. All drums are provided. No drumming experience is necessary. All you need is the desire to play, have fun, and a willingness to share the joy of taiko with others. During these fun and energetic classes participants will get a full workout, all while learning about rhythm and drumming through the use of games, dance, and drumming. Students are required to buy their own drumsticks for $15 on the first day of class.
